How to order from Taobao

Taobao is a Chinese online marketplace in Chinese. The easiest way to order from it is through the agent LitBuy: copy the item's Taobao link, paste it into LitBuy's search and pay there. LitBuy buys it for you, shows you QC photos from its warehouse in China and ships it to you. Items reach the warehouse in 2–7 days; how long the parcel takes to your door depends on the line and your country.

Step by step

  1. 1. Sign up to LitBuy with my link

  2. 2. Copy the item's Taobao link

    Open the item on Taobao and copy its address. The right link contains the item number, for example item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=… Tmall links (detail.tmall.com) work the same way.

    Do not search the agent’s app by photo or name: most results are poor quality.

  3. 3. See QC photos from other buyers

    Before you pay, paste the link into my QC photo tool. It shows warehouse photos other buyers got for the same item, and a button that opens it straight in LitBuy.

  4. 4. Paste the link into LitBuy's search

    Paste the link into LitBuy's search and press Search. The same item opens, now with a price and a description you can read.

  5. 5. Choose size and colour, then pay

    Choose the size and colour in LitBuy, press Add to Cart and pay for the items. If you want to tell the seller something, write it in Remarks.

    The price on Taobao is for the cheapest option. You see the real one once you choose size and colour.

  6. 6. Check the QC photos in the warehouse

    When the status turns to Arrived at Warehouse, you see photos of your item. If the size or quality is wrong, you have about 5 days to press Return.

  7. 7. Create the parcel and pay for shipping

    Put everything in the warehouse into one parcel, even items from Weidian and 1688. Choose a line for your country, add Purchase Protection, pay for shipping and track the parcel in LitBuy.

Can I order from Taobao directly, without an agent?

Taobao is in Chinese. Through an agent like LitBuy everything is in English, you see QC photos of the item in the warehouse, you can return it if something is wrong, and you can combine orders from Taobao, Weidian and 1688 into one parcel.

Which Taobao link should I copy?

The address of the item page that contains the item number (id=…), for example item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=… Tmall links work too.

Can I order from Taobao, Weidian and 1688 in one parcel?

Yes. Everything in LitBuy's warehouse can ship in one parcel, even if it comes from different sites and you paid for it separately.

How do I know a seller is good?
