Privacy

In short: the site uses no tracking cookies, has no ads and no accounts. The calculator and the size tool run entirely in your browser and send nothing.

Who is responsible for the data

The data controller is me, Mirydor, the author of litbuy.tools. For questions about personal data, write to [email protected].

Cookies and what your browser keeps

• I set no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
• If you change the theme (light or dark), the choice is kept only in your browser (localStorage, key “theme”) until you delete it. It is not sent anywhere.
• If you change the language with the БГ / EN switch, the choice is kept for one year in a cookie “lang”, so I do not redirect you to the other language. It is used only for that.
• To choose the language on your first visit, I look at your browser’s language setting and the country Cloudflare detects from the request. I do not keep them.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes the technical data of the request (for example IP address and browser) to show the site and protect it from attacks. I keep no logs with IP addresses.

Statistics

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies and without following individual people. TODO(mirydor): confirm that Web Analytics is on; if not, remove this section.

The tools

Shipping calculator

It runs entirely in your browser and nothing is kept. The weight and settings are written into the page address (for example ?kg=10), so you can share the result.

Once you change something, I show a few items from mirydorfinds.com under the results. Only the kind of items (for example T-shirts) goes to the site’s server, and their pictures load from mirydorfinds.com.

If you add an item by link, the link is recognised in your browser and only which item it is (Weidian, Taobao or 1688 and the listing number) goes to the site’s server, to find its weight from the QC photos. I do not keep it.

Sizes

It runs entirely in your browser. Your measurements are not kept and not sent anywhere. Once you get a result, I show a few items from mirydorfinds.com under it, the same way as in the calculator.

If you use “Upload a photo of the chart”, the photo is shrunk in your browser and goes through the site’s server to Anthropic (Claude), which reads the chart and returns the numbers. I do not keep the photo. Before it is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person; its script loads only when you upload a photo.

Package tracker

• The tracking number is sent only to the site’s server and from there to the 17TRACK service to get the status. It never goes into addresses, logs or statistics. 17TRACK’s own privacy rules apply there.
• In the database I keep a salted hash of the number (not the number itself) and the latest status received, so I do not ask 17TRACK every time. I delete them 30 days after delivery, or 90 days after the last change if the parcel is not delivered.
• When the parcel is delivered, I keep anonymously how many days it travelled: the carriers, the line if you chose one, and the dates, without the number and without a link to it. That way I show more accurate times.
• The “Check on 17TRACK” button opens the 17TRACK site with your number. Their rules apply there.

Products

The items and their pictures load from this site. Search and filters run entirely in your browser: what you search for is not sent anywhere.

QC photos

• The link you paste is recognised in your browser. Only which item it is (Weidian, Taobao or 1688 and the listing number) goes to the site’s server, to show its photos. The item is also written into the page address (for example ?weidian=…), so you can share it.
• The “See QC photos on FindQC” button opens the FindQC site in a new tab. Their rules apply there.
• For items from mirydorfinds.com, the “Show the QC photos from Telegram” button loads the Telegram post only after you press it. Telegram then receives the technical data of the request (for example IP address) under its own rules.
• If you send your own QC photos, your browser shrinks them, adds the Mirydor Finds mark and saves them anew, without EXIF data (for example location and phone model). I keep the photos, the item, the size, the warehouse weight, your note and the date. If you leave a Discord name, I keep it too: I show it next to your approved photos and on the leaderboard on the QC photos page, and count your approved uploads by it. I do not give it to anyone. If you want it removed, write to me. Without a Discord name I do not keep who sent the photos.
• I review every upload before I publish it and remove photos with personal data (names, order numbers, labels, faces). Rejected ones I delete at once. Published ones stay until you ask me to remove them; after deletion they may show for up to a day in the browser cache.
• The photos are kept on Cloudflare (the R2 service), where the site is also hosted.

Protection against abuse

• The tracker, reading a chart from a photo and the QC photo form are protected with Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks whether you are a person. Turnstile processes technical data about the browser and device under Cloudflare’s rules.
• To limit the number of requests, I keep a counter by hashed IP address (not the address itself) for the current day only. Counters from previous days are deleted automatically.

Other sites

The links to LitBuy, mirydorfinds.com, FindQC, Telegram, TikTok and Discord lead to other sites. Their privacy rules apply there.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for me to correct or delete it, or object to its processing. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in the country where you live, or the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).
